The ethanol factory invested by Quang Trung Joint Stock Company - QuangTrungChem has been in operation for 7 months with the main product being fuel alcohol or absolute alcohol (99.5%) used to mix with gasoline creates clean gasoline (E5 gasoline).
The factory is built on an area of 18 hectares, with a capacity of 100 thousand tons / year, equivalent to 125 million liters / year. Byproducts are liquefied CO2 (20 thousand tons / year);
The plant's wastewater will generate 80 thousand - 100 thousand cubic meters of CH4 gas, reused to burn boilers to replace coal, microbiological fertilizer (40 thousand tons / year) which is sold to farmers at preferential prices " .
It is known that the total initial investment of the plant was 600 billion VND, of which more than 100 billion VND was for modern wastewater treatment technology.
The inauguration of the plant will contribute to the implementation of the Biofuel Development Project to 2015, with a vision to 2025, which was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision 177/2007 / QD-TTg dated November 20. 2007.
In addition to the development of green materials for the environment, the establishment of the factory has contributed to creating stable jobs for more than 300 workers, and at the same time, the factory's consumption of 1 million tons of raw materials per year has been guaranteed. ensure the output for cassava products of more than 1 thousand farmers.
Quang Trung Company claimed that 30% of the output will be used domestically, the rest will be exported to markets such as the Philippines, Japan, Australia ...
Currently, there are 40 petrol stations nationwide. It is expected that by 2012, there will be more than 4,000 E5 selling points nationwide, ready to serve the needs of people who want to use biofuel to protect the environment. In the longer term, the number of petrol stations will increase depending on how much ethanol production in the country meets the demand.
